Tell us a bit about Loop Knitting.
Loop stocks gorgeous knitting and crochet supplies sourced from all over the world, from exquisite hand dyed yarns to beautiful and useful haberdashery. We collaborate with textile designers who make bespoke objects for us, as well as finding vintage knitting items, such as ribbons, bakelite yarn holders and workboxes from vintage markets. Loop has a vast range of patterns, books and magazines that you can browse both online or while hanging out on our couch in the shop. Loop is the European Flagship shop for quite a few exquisite yarns. Most of our yarns are natural fibres and we have a lot of artisan hand-dyes.

We have a huge range of course and workshops from beginners knitting and crochet to master classes taught by crafters from all over the world. Stephen West, Julie Arkell, Kirsten Kapur, Cirilia Rose, Brandon Malby, Juju Vail and Cecile Franconie among many others come to teach from our shop. Loop also offers specialised knitting classes in techniques, such as sock knitting, Fair Isle, lace and colourwork. The classes are lovely and small, so everyone gets a lot of attention for whatever their needs are and what pace they learn at.
Give us an essential knitting tip.
Don't be afraid to make a mistake! It's just yarn that can always be ripped back or fixed. With lace knitting, put in a 'life-line' so you can rip back to the last repeat you did, in case you make a mistake. Have fun with what you are knitting. Play with colour and make the project your own.
